Journey to the motherhood by Mrs. S

Mrs. S has been using our product, and I wanted to share her journey with you. This blog captures her experience in her own words, offering insight into how it has impacted her.
My husband and I met in university, we spent four years together, and supported each other in our studies and personal growth. When we graduated, we promised to work hard for our future. After building our careers, we decided to have a child. We initially thought it would be easy, but after over a year of trying, we had no success. This made us realise that conceiving a child is not always straightforward and easy.
In 2019, we visited a highly reputable hospital for a medical evaluation. My AMH level was 1.49, lower than the normal range (2–2.5) for my age. The doctor explained that while I did not have premature ovarian failure, my ovarian function was declining. As women age, ovarian function and egg quality naturally decrease.
My hormone levels were also imbalanced, with high luteinising hormone and testosterone levels. The doctor said this could negatively affect ovulation and egg development. Based on this assessment, my chances of conceiving naturally were low, and the success rate for IVF would not exceed 40%. I had little knowledge about ovarian function before this. However, after discussing it with my doctor, I learnt that while it cannot be completely reversed, certain measures can help. These include maintaining a healthy lifestyle, getting enough sleep, managing stress, following a balanced diet, taking necessary medications, and using complementary therapies like acupuncture and herbal supplements. Following the doctor’s advice, we monitored ovulation and planned accordingly. However, after multiple failed attempts, I had two miscarriages and underwent three curettage procedures. The repeated procedures affected my uterine lining, reducing its thickness to 5.6mm, making conception even more difficult.
After multiple unsuccessful attempts at natural conception, we decided to try IVF in 2020. We chose a fertility clinic with high success rates and underwent the necessary preliminary examinations before starting treatment. For our first IVF cycle, we followed the long protocol. The treatment involved hormone suppression and injections. We retrieved 12 eggs, of which 8 matured, but only 2 were successfully fertilised. Unfortunately, they did not develop into viable blastocysts. To improve our chances, we made lifestyle adjustments. We exercised daily, maintained a healthy diet, and followed a strict sleep schedule. For our second IVF cycle, we switched to an antagonist protocol. This time, we retrieved 10 eggs, 7 fertilised, and 4 blastocysts formed. In the first embryo transfer, we implanted two blastocysts, but after 11 days, the HCG test showed no implantation. After a break, we transferred the remaining two embryos, but implantation failed again. These repeated failures were emotionally difficult.
Based on my doctor’s recommendation, I underwent an endometrial receptivity test. The results showed high uterine artery resistance and abnormal endometrial movement, both of which can prevent embryo implantation. The doctor suggested these factors might have contributed to my previous miscarriages.
In March 2023, I learned about ShawkeaT-1 (蒲公英T-1), a Japanese supplement that improve egg quality and uterine conditions. My doctor, who had studied in Japan, confirmed that Shawkea had published clinical research and was recognized in fertility treatments. ShawkeaT-1 (蒲公英T-1) is designed to improve granulosa cell numbers and hormone receptor sensitivity, while Matsukou-sen is used to enhance blood circulation and reduce inflammation. Both were suitable for my condition. Following professional guidance, I started a three-month supplement regimen while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. In June 2023, we tried to conceive naturally again but were unsuccessful. In August 2023, we resumed IVF. My ovarian function had improved, but my husband’s sperm quality was below the required level. We had to postpone the cycle after both of us fell ill. Under medical advice, my husband started taking T2 and zinc gluconate, while I continued ShawkeaT-1 (蒲公英T-1) and Pine Knot (松康泉). We also used abdominal moxibustion therapy to improve pelvic blood circulation and prepare the uterus for implantation.
In December, I started ovarian suppression in preparation for a new IVF cycle. In January 2024, we retrieved 8 eggs, resulting in 3 blastocysts (G4BB/G4BA/G3AB). On January 20, we transferred two fresh embryos. Eleven days later, we confirmed pregnancy. After years of effort, we were finally successful. We continued medical support in early pregnancy and officially announced the news to our family at three months.
Looking back, the journey was long and difficult, but we persisted. Every step was part of the process. To others who are trying to conceive, we hope you find the right approach for your situation. With the right support and perseverance, success is possible.
